Just a few things to consider....

Simple steps to care for your jewellery -

Use a standard brand cleaning cloth for polishing up the Silver in your pieces. Sterling Silver will tarnish, so keep it clean and let it shine! Fine Silver focal pieces will also benefit with a bit of buffing.

Some stones will be more porous than others and remember that pearls are delicate and should be treated as such, the rule to follow is "if you know you're in for a days gardening, or changing a wheel, or cleaning the house, then remove the jewels".

I use Beadalon Pro for stringing some pieces; this will be noted in the description. This is a strong but flexible threading material made up of 49 strands of steel twisted together and covered in a fine nylon sheath. The break weight will be anything from 6 - 16kgs. However, as your pieces will also be made up of other components, please take into consideration the old adage "a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link". Respect your gems!

Always remember to remove bracelets when immersing your hands in water for any length of time. Cleaning chemicals will damage porous stones and pearls and may discolour silver.

Do not spray directly with perfume or other sprays; hairspray, hair spritz etc. They will take the sheen off pearls and may damage more porous stones.

Treasure your treasures, they will last you a lifetime and more...
